    • Trying to change your lifestyle on your own is too much work.  One of the biggest reasons people fail to change their lifestyle in the first place is because there is a lot of work that goes into the initial setup.  When you factor in finding all new recipes, figuring out how to shop for healthy foods, setting up an exercise routine, assembling a meal plan, and all the other things that changing lifestyles entails, it's just too time-consuming for the average person to ever put into place.
    • Traditional ways to change your lifestyle have the built-in pressure to figure it all out on your own.  It is so easy to burn out by trying to change your lifestyle all on your own.  You think going in that you'll never run out of ideas for healthy meals.  As one of the most creative and prolific lifestyle changers you'll ever run across, let me tell you that I myself face this problem.  Almost everyone does.  And, even if you are supernatural and can continue coming up with new menu ideas for years and years, the demands of your busy life will require more discipline than most of us possess.

    • Traditional methods of changing your lifestyle include a continual battle to keep going.  Here's a figure most people don't tell you about: the "average" person trying to change to a healthy lifestyle will last only 2 - 6 weeks and then they will go back to doing things the "old" way.  Factor in indifference, a lack of effort, poor results and a never-ending number of pot-luck dinners or doughnuts in the break room and you'll be lucky to see 5% of people actually win the battle.
